photoshop request, if i may be so bold?

Post by bodhi_tree777 »

I'm trying to figure out how a partial DIY paint job on my VW would look. No good w/ photoshop. Could someone tweak this photo to show me what it would look like with the bumpers (including lower portion) all black, black fender flares and black from the door trim on down? Basically, all black on the lower half, as well as black wheels. Much appreciated!

I think I'd actually stick with the original paint. But some tasteful black wheels could look hot.

definitely the black wheels..they look like junk right now, so they're getting painted for sure b/c i can't afford replacements . the reason for the 2-tone is that (if you'll notice in the original pic) the paint is destroyed under the front bumper. There are also scrapes on both drivers side fenders, just above the wheel wells. I can't afford a respray or body work, so I may just put flares over the damage.

hey nib (or anyone), think you could do the same thing but with a dark brown lower half instead of black? Still will have black fender flares and trim, but the lower bumper, lower doors this color (or close to it):much thanks in advance!

The finished product would have re-blackened trim and fender arches, but I was mainly concerned with how that shade would look against the gold. The steelies will probably be painted either black or a bronze color as well. All of this will be done DIY, on the cheap, hopefully it'll come out okay What do you think of the color combo?
