Whoa thats alot of ice. I saw something like that years ago in Wisconsin. thats too bad. glad your O.K.

Yea everyone is safe, we had 6 inches of ice, then 4 inches of snow fall on top of that 3 days ago. the scenery out here is changed forever, most of these tree's will no recover. the on that the pond we built around is over 150 years old and it is gone now. After a week and a half without power, we got power back, lost it again for 2 days, got it back this morning, then lost it again for 3 hours, and so far *knock on wood* we still have power.

You got plenty of wood to knock on. We had that happen a few years back, I live on a corner lot. My fallen limbs blocked both roads and my neighbors driveway and knocked out the power. not a fun day. Glad you are alright.

We got lucky here in Southeast Mo. Missed it completely. I have seen this before here. We have 2 generators just in case.

we had that here few years ago. Still have wood for the fire place in the shed. Power was out for days. our land scape and forested area will never be the same also. But, I would guess that this was not the first ever ice storm Ohio ever saw.

I was in down in Southwestern Missouri right after that storm blew through taking care of some items i have in storage. Those pictures as horrible as they are just don't show how wide spread the devestation was. Trees looked like they were peeled like bananas. The last i saw that much damage was the October billizard of 1997 that went through Nebraska.People were without power for days. Some people were without water b/c the water tower pumps were without power and the tanks were dry. The gas stations that still had power either had no gas left or had lines down the street.Its a blessing more people were not hurt or killed in this truly devestating storm.I hope the recovery is quick.

took 11 days to get our power back, now day 14 there are still people with now power/water. The landscape around here is truely changed for the rest of our life times. I live in Dade County and the electric company said just in our county alone there were more than 3000 downed power poles. saturday morning after the 1st wave hit i had to get out in the crap and go to town to get gas for generator and try to get my family a warm meal. I thought the devistation I saw on the way to town was bad, on the way home I almost didnt get home because there was a mile stretch near my house when getting off the interstate that was nothing but power polls knocked over. I tried to take a video while driving through it with my phone but it didnt come out too well
