No fatalities were reported at the scene of the accident on Piilani Highway between Ohukai and Kaonoulu roads and on the Wailea side of the Kihei Commercial Center. Two of the three vehicles sustained extensive front-end damage.The driver of a four-door Pontiac Vibe was traveling in the direction of Maalaea when the motorist drifted left into oncoming traffic, striking an Acura sedan, police said. The impact sent the Acura head-on into a Maalaea-bound Ford Focus.Drivers of the Acura and the Ford had to be extricated from their vehicles before being taken to Maui Memorial Medical Center. At least one of the motorists was reported to be in critical condition.The Pontiac driver, whose vehicle came to rest about 300 feet toward the Kihei Commercial Center, was not seriously injured, police said.Investigators remained at the scene after 7:30 p.m., and the highway was reopened at 8:25.no pic of the vibe, but of the other cars
