10 Year HS Reunion

So this past weekend was my 10 yr HS reunion, 1996 Grad of Chugiak HS in Eagle River. Was good to see some people I haven't seen in a while and of course many others that I see here and there or often. Not too many people showed as we had hoped, but it was rather last minute planned (Since April) so it made it difficult. Out of 424 that graduated in our class, only about 50+ people showed up. Of course, I know several people were not able to break away from their hectic lives and have said they would be there for the 20 yr. Guess I'll most likely be helping out with that one too.I am a bit tired and somewhat nursing my hangover from the past 2 eves. 1996 Reunion

You graduated the same year as I... I don't know when my reunion is/was/whatever, they all know where they can shove it. They were truly evil people, and high school was a hellish experience so I didn't want to be there then and I don't want to see the few that aren't in jail now. Many in my graduating class ended up that way from what I gather, somehow that doesn't surprise me. (removed)!Anyway, point I'm making is I'm glad someone can go to a reunion and have a good time. Good deal. Have fun on the 20th too.Doesn't seem like it has been 10 years does it? For me at least.

My 20 year reunion is next year but I doubt I will attend. I had a blast in HS but I would rather leave the past in the past lol

i'm glad your reunion was fun. mine wasn't so fun if it weren't for the beer i drank then trying to hit golf balls in 4 inch heels at the indoor driving range it was held at. my grad class was 475 and maybe 60 people, including spouses, showed up. i got to see a couple people i wanted to see and also connected with someone who i'd maybe said hi to at the most but we shared a friend in common. i don't plan on going to anymore, 10 yrs wasn't long enough despite my best efforts to chat people up to get rid of the cliqueiness KWIM?

bleh.. i loved high school. it was so easy, didn't have bills to pay, didn't have to worry about much really, it was all planned out for me without anything major. granted, i had to worry about college and moving, but still it was great times! some things however, don't change. and the regular party people were there (however, i was not one of those "party" people back then... it came later).but yes, i do feel kinda old. LOL. fun thing, is that i found out a lot of the people with whom i graduated still live up here or moved back. got plenty of email and numbers so we can stay in better contact and another friend who's interested in autocross and dragging his newly turbo'd integra. the whole crew:First drink casualty on the dance floor:Apparently, even holding the camera up in the air, i still manage to only see feet...dancing/drinking:and i finally learned the name of the girl who had her locker next to me Freshman year!

Mine is the exact same as Arcs...20 years in 2007, and if we even HAVE one, I highly doubt I will be attending.

wow. that makes me sad. i still keep in contact with a lot of my friends from HS. in fact, the condo we live in and rent belongs to one of my friends i went to HS with. my best friend was from high school (actually all my really close friends are all from HS). though i'm NOT living in the past, i suppose i'm just blessed that i've stayed in contact with many friends and continue that good relationship with them. however, i will say, that many of my good friends NOW were not as close as in HS. we became better friends after that time frame due to life and the events going on in our lives...and 10 yrs from now, i'll most likely be going to my 20 yr, probably see the same people and a few more or less. hopefully a few more!

My 10 year is coming up this spring. I graduated with 34 people, about 30 of which, I'd known since kindergarten. My school was small enough that they still have "all school" reunions every 5 years. I didn't have the worst experience in school, but I'm not going to my 10-year. I keep in touch with the classmates I want to. They're putting together a reunion site so we can see what everyone's been up to so far. I'll go to my 20th for sure

Hey, I try to use the "search" option as much as I can. I figure there's bound to be someone on here who has a school reunion coming up. Now I wonder if it's time to resurrect the "Price you paid for Gas" thread. j/k, although it's interesting to see what prices we complained about last year at this time.

I graduated in 1989 with about 140 people. I've never attended a reunion, and don't have a clue what a single person I went to HS with is doing. Once I went to college, HS was in my past and stayed there. (and my parents still live in the same town, so I do still have connections to the area - although I'm 4 hours from there)

Well, my 10 year was this past weekend. I got a couple "people asked about you at the reunion" emails since we didn't go. They made a website of questionaires and pics we sent in, along with pictures from the event. I'll try to make it to the next one I guess.
