Weekend project

Post by keko »

So I might have a full weekend off, and I'm planing to do a project and my exterior paint. The paint job is poor quality, has that orange peel to it. wondering if any advice on wet sanding, polish waxing.
I have a rotary machine which i used to use to wax (a very long time ago), I have Turtle wax 'polishing compound with nanotech polish agents' and Meguiar's 'cleaner wax high shine'

I was planing to do 1 of 2 things
1 body piece at a time to spread out the work load

1: wet sand 2000 grit softly try to get every inch, then use Turtle wax compound with a wool cloth on machine and then finish off with Meguiars wax on a regular cloth on machine.
or
2: skip the wet sanding phase and go straight to polish with machine then wax with machine

Which would be more advisable?

This is what I would do :D It will take you longer and require a LOT more elbow grease ... BUT the results will be amazing. Post pics when you're done :D
