Cleaning Valve Cover?

What is available to use to clean the grease and grime off the valve cover. Since I am not using the engine cover anymore, I'd like to make it look halfway decent. Thanks!!

Engine degreaser followed by some aluminum polish .

Some very fine steelwool would work well too.

Guys on The J-Body Organization website use this method to polish their valve covers. It's time consuming if you want a nice chrome-like shine, but it works very well and is darn near impossible to screw up.
