My new aftermarket spoiler, is it too much?

Post by joatmon »

Put on my new spoiler, Usually I think spoilers this big are definite signs of rice, but I'm not sure about this one. Is it too much?

you should see a huge HP gain if you turn that sideways.

It's always thought provoking to launch a new concept, but I really can't see this one staying afloat; canu?

LOL!Yup. You spoiled it all right. Maybe an aluminum 'wing' would look better on the Satellite color!

You just need to turn it sideways. But it's not tall enough to be rice.

Turns out that the aerodynamics of this particular model are not performance enhancing. In over 50K miles, I've averaged 36 mpg. The couple hundred mile trip with the new spoiler I got 27 mpg. Cost me 25%. Could really feel the extra drag too, acceleration at highway speeds was pretty meager.Maybe it would help if I tilted the front down more. Find out Saturday when I have to drive back to reality.

Or you can find a river, flip your car over and sail it home. That should save you a lot of gas.But as far as the spoiler goes, put some carbon fiber canards and some chrome accents on it and you should be good to go.
