I'm looking to put some cross bars on my Vibe since I was gifted a nice used rooftop cargo box. There's an OEM set on ebay for $80 but there are a lot of other options closer to $40 (universalish). What are you guys and gals running? Amazon reviews are all over the place for the ones I am looking at. I am also thinking about calling around to junkyards and checking picknpulls. I am on a tight budget (in school), so the cheaper the better.

That price for OEM is a bit high. I yanked a set out of a junk yard for probably $40-50.

I guess it depends how wide that cargo box is if you need aftermarket ones.

Found a vibe at a picknpull in the town I just moved to that had the cross bars. It just happened to be half off day as well. Pick up the cross bars- minus 2 of the knobs- for $11. Pretty happy about that. They came off a 03 gt and I'm wondering if there is anything I can swap onto my base as an upgrade.

you'd have to go aftermarket for any sort of upgrade...thule, yakima, etc. OEM ones work good though.
