Drip Molding on roof

Post by gdizzle »

I just had my 2005 Vibe painted (clear coat had completely fallen off) and the idiots at the paint shop apparently do not know how to put the trim parts back on the car. The rack was falling off, the side fender wells were detaching among other things.

Anyhow, I now just noticed that the drip moldings on the roof were just set in the channel, completely loose. I removed them and I see that they ruined the little part that clips into the clip. My question, what is the proper way to install the drip molding into that clip. Do you align it and then press it down> Or do you slide it in?

If I remember correctly, Slide then press down.
