Loose Door Handle Trim

Post by tzuleger »

Hey everyone :)

Hopefully somebody can point me in the right direction with this. Just picked up this Vibe a week or two ago and noticed that the trim around the lock on the passenger side door is coming loose. I thought about using an adhesive as a temporary fix but I'm worried that might get inside the lock and cause some issues. Has anyone had this problem before? Either way, I could use some suggestions as I am not sure how to go about this.

Thanks!

It appears the lock cylinder is sliding out of position. Once the door is open at the same level as the door handle should be a plastic cap on the side normally facing the door latch. Remove the plastic cap inside is a torx screw that holds the lock cylinder and door handle in place, check to see if the screw or mounting hardware is loose.
