I purchased front and rear mudflaps and took them to the dealership to see how much it would cost to install. Can you believe they said $80?? Is there any other place I can get them istalled without paying an arm and a leg? I do have friends that probably could help me with it, only problem is they are currently underway and won't return for a couple of months.

There's always trim shops I guess... They add aftermarket stuff to cars and trucks all day long. The places we have around here generally do tinting, pinstriping, spoilers, truck stuff like bed covers, running boards, etc. etc. etc. I'm sure a place like that would be willing to help out, for a price. Or make the ol' man do it. It really isn't hard. The front ones are easy, but the rear is a bit more of a challenge since you have to get out the drill, jack the back end up and remove the tire, and drill into some plastic. Aside from the drill, I think the only other thing you really need is a 10mm socket. If you haven't got the socket, just go to wal mart and spend $4.88 on the cheapo socket set, that's what I have..Hope you can find a way to get those installed! You've been wanting to do that for a long time now, haven't ya?

mud flaps are super easy. the factory one just bolt right on. jack the car up, undo the couple bolts, put the mudflaps on, bolt them back on and voila! save yourself the $80 for such a simple installation!
I dont even have mudflaps but i'll get some cardboard to sit in their place and make a DIY with pictures if you want. It's very simple. W/O instructions I would say hole the flap up to the wheel well, mark the bolts, or clips that need to come off. Pop or screw them off, put mudflap in place, replace screws and clips. It's actually less involved than filling your car with gas or tires with air. Well maybe not quite but in the same bucket of ease.
I agree, just do it yourself. Only took me about 30 minutes to do mine if I remember correctly. You will have to take off the rear wheels in order to get the screwdriver and/or drill in the proper position. And you can just crank the front wheels to one side to get those.
