Yeah most of the LED bulbs you see that PNP do not have enough LED light to be any safer. Instead of your entire lamp lighting up as it should, only the bulb area lights up and it doesnt correspond with lights that have reflectors in them very well.LED is point light, so you need a custom setup to make it work. The only ones that have made any progress would be the Spider lites IMO. The go in, open up and allow more LEDs in the lamp but still I think they can do better. If you want LEDs, go to a truck store, buy those round ones they put on buses and dump trucks and wire them in.

I'd still kill for a pair of LED tails for the Vibe. I'd make custom ones like I did with my GA, but no way to clear the lenses. I agree with the 09's tails. Thats one thing I do like about them.

If you want Altezzas, either buy a 05-08 Matrix or a 09+ Vibe.

So no one makes good LED bulbs for our tail lights? I've gone to a couple of sites that seem to put together a fairly good array of LEDs. Anyone tried them? Pictures? Don't really need clear tail lenses for these, do we?I would like to try them.

I agree. Same as body kits for the Vibe. We've waited SOOOOOO long for something, I just lost interest altogether and I'm glad nothing ever came out. I don't like chrome too much so those altezza taillights are annoying to me. I wanted a set of black taillights. Now I have mine tinted and painted the triangle strips in the lens metallic black and I think it looks better than anything after market

I think the Vibe has decent looking tail lenses. I Cant see altezzas looking good on the Vibe. I DO like the look of tinted tails on the Vibe....lightly though!I always thought the 02-04 Altima tails looked great, as well as the IS300s.

How many would actually order a set? Would they be just what everyone wanted to make them appealing?Projectors can be had as a universal add-on item. Just look @ keithvibe's business, so it would be relatively easy to "convert" a set of headlights already in production. For tails, they would practically have to start from ground zero, then hope every one liked their design well enough to purchase them. And face it, most Vibe owners couldn't care less. That's what seperates us from them... and my wife is one of THEM!!! Quote, originally posted by morbay »I was just curious who dug this one up again. I don't know (Ls1jorge), but I wish it would just die.I would like some tails w/black background/insides (no chrome,) clear lenses and functional LEDs. I don't think you could call them Altezzas though.

We just need to gather up information on how many people want different tailights & the type of look & design they want black, chrome...etc. my friend said the company who made the projector headlights for g6 wanted 250+ customers to buy all @ once, & they made a great success on the sale. We need to make a thread of who wants tailights & the type of look everyone has to agree to, yea prolly be pricey & IMO well worth it!

A dead car from a defunct brand. I'm sure whoever makes these lights is really interested in making them now considering how interested they were when the car was actually in production.

This thread should've been locked years ago! Moderators? Bueller? Anybody? For those still looking for SOMETHING, there ARE 'redouts' and 'blackouts' - colored overlays to change the appearance of the stock lights that do not require removal.RANT ONAs has been the case with some other small market custom-mod projects among Vibe and Matrix owners, the cost to make the FIRST set would be outrageous. The SECOND set, just 1/2-outrageous, the THIRD set 1/3 outrageous, and so on, so that, in CONCEPT, it would be a high, but reasonable cost for the 100 or so Vibe owners who really WANT to buy them. Until they see the cost per unit, and then probably only 5 people would actually have the money in hand (at the 100-unit cost), and could split the cost of the project, which would now be 20 times the 100-unit cost, or 1/5 of the original outrageous number. Which goes a long way toward explaining why there have never been (and are not likely to ever be) Altezzas for the Vibe.RANT OFF
