Wheels Clarification

Post by Doug355gta »

I have searched and found many different answers, so here is my question. If I want to run 17x7 on my 03 and want the lip of the rim to come out almost flush but not rub, I should run a 38 offset in the front and 35 offset in the rear, right?

Very interested in the answer to this as well. I've been poking around this forum and others trying to figure out what will give me the best functional fitment and I haven't been able to come up with a completely conclusive answer yet. I hope you can get one!

I did play around with a rim and tire size calculator. I can't seem to find the exact one I used before but this other one I found looks a bit more in depth actually. http://www.wheel-size.com/calc/?wheel1= ... m&scl=50mm

Good luck!

Have you considered removing the wheels and measuring from your hubs to the distance it takes to be flush with your fender flares? I'd love to try and help with measurements, but I'm out of town and have no way to raise my car safely etc. The best way for you to get the look you want is to measure it yourself, so that you don't have to find out that someone else had a different opinion over "tucked" or "flush".
