Spare tire pressure

Post by Mark »

Just a reminder to check your spare tire air pressure a couple times a year. I saw that mentioned on another forum and went and checked while I was thinking about it. Should be 60psi

04 Vibe: just a couple psi off, but it had been mounted when my daughter had a flat, and I think the shop aired it up when the put it away.

08 Vibe: 40psi

12 CR-V: 40 psi

00 Corolla: 7 psi

It's a pita because they're mounted upside down and I had to move all the stuff that gets packed in the empty space on top and around the spare, but it would be a much bigger pita to have a flat and find that the temporary spare was flat too.

I try to check our spares once a month. I don't think they've ever gotten below ~57 PSI.
