Got a set put on the Vibe earlier this week. Very happy so far, the ride feels much tighter and smoother and I was already quite happy with the Michelin Pilot Exaltos I just wore out.

yep, simply the best tire out there. I have had the Exaltos on the 2003 Vibe; very good as well, but the Primacy's are even better. I'm waiting for Costco to bring back their $70 off special so I can put them on the new Elantra Touring. I plowed through the 2 feet of snow in the Primacys with relative easy this past winter.
I checkd those out but the Yokohama YK520's were a better deal and just as nice of a ride. So far so good. Great to hear that you like your new tires!Have any pictures of them?
Thanks. I won't buy anything that is not listed on tirerack.com with consumer comments. I tend to do the same thing with Consumer Reports. I must say that I have not been steered wrong utilizing those research tools.
I looked up the MXV4s on TireRack and wow, them there are sum premium tars! In the size I use on my 17s (225/50) they were 175 or 206 American Dollars. Not quite sure what the difference between them is, since both were 93Vs. One had a wear rating of 440 and the more expensive one 420. I might be looking at the wrong ones. The Rack has MXV4s labled as Michelin Energy MXV4 S8. Since they have the 'Energy' name, do they help with MPGs?

I think the "Energy" line have low rolling resistance for better mileage. Although there are a line of Energy MXV4's they are different from the Primacy MXV4.Those tire rack prices you found were quite a bit more than I paid. Partly because the Energy line is a bit more and probably also because as "93V" they are V speed rated to (IIRC) 150mph. I got H rated (130mph) which should be fine for a base Vibe. Got mine from Discount.

Michelin's are great tires. I've read great reviews on these while I was tire shopping last week. They were a bit out of my budget so I went with YK520's too =/
These tires rock.......they are a "x-green" tire..been running these for over 2 years and the ride is so smooth and quite.would recommand these to anyone!

Not sure what you mean tho The tire place says I can go as much as 235/45-18 but I was afraid it might rub. With an 18 inch wheel, I figured you were probably running a 35 sidewall... but you're already on a 45... so that's about a comfortable as you could get in that size. I'm on a 225/50 17 and wish I had gone with a 55 side wall, but I was also concerned about the clearances around the wheel wells. A taller tire gives you more sidewall, and usually more cushion (Flex) while also allowing slightly less response. If you install a 16 inch wheel with a 60 aspect ratio sidewall tire (say a 215/60 16 tire) on your Vibe it would probably feel like you're driving on pillows... compared to, as an example, a set of 225/35 19s.
