OEM Toyota/Pontiac rims for 09' Base Vibe

Post by ss21 »

Hey everybody....Happy New Year to all!I really want to get a set of OEM rims for the 09 Vibe, and was wondering waht the specs are for the rims and which model's rims will fit it (Older Matrrix/Vibe, Corolla, Camry?) Thanks.

The vibe base has the same 16" 5x100 steelies that most late model Toyotas run. not sure if the '09 brakes will clear a 15 (earlier vibes can go down to 15s) but if it can then nearly any toyota wheel with that 5x100 pattern will fit. Aluminum toyota OEM wheels will need those shank style nuts. 5x100 wheels were used on a plethora of vehicles but a lot won't fit, like the 15" OnFire (Sunfire/Cavalier) wheels with the enlarged drop center won't clear. If you have a GT you're on the 5x4.5" pattern and Rav4 wheels are what you're looking for. 5x4.5 is the most common bolt pattern out there but a lot of it is low-mid offset for RWD vehicles.

A set of Scion tC wheels would look awesome on your 2009 Base Vibe!

The do look great on Vibes, and even better with the tires you mounted on them. And SS21, you have a "Base Vibe" with the 1.6L engine? The 2.4 would use a different wheel bolt pattern. If you have the 1.6L engine, then the tC rims would fit and look great on your car. Has anyone mounted tC rims on their 09/10 Vibe? Would be great to see a picture!!!

I'm going to have to watch my slow flying keyboard fingers. Yikes, very embarrassing. What kind of time do you need to find to take a couple of good pictures of that red hot Vibe on your tC rims. Is there anything we can do to help???? other than nag?! 'cause you know we, or at least I will! We want to see a new and improved sig pic that includes those tC rims of yours. If you delay much longer, I'll be forced to get everyone on this site to chant that at you.

The stock Vibe GT (Gen 1) tire size is 215/50-17 and this is the most common size to run on the TC wheels. I'm going to put 215/55-17 tires on my TC rims next for a slightly smoother ride than the 215/45-17 stock TC tires that are currently on the rims.

That's a good call on the tire size, I will definately go up to p215/50R17 or 55R17 when I replace the stock size Scion TC tires. It feels so good to have the TC wheels on my Vibe tho, man winter seemed so long!!!
