Here's my lowered 2004 Pontiac Vibe on BC Racing Coilovers. Unfortunately the clear coat on my roof is peeling and some fading is starting on the hood. After getting these smaller things out of the way, new wheels and possibly lowering the car more will occur. Thanks for looking!

Nice looking Vibe. I've always been a fan of Lava... had an '06 Base that color.

The photo upload limit is something like 1 MB per image and 3 pics per post. For my recent posts with pics, I've resized the images with picresize.com to 1280px wide and it usually does the trick.

Plenty of people used to use Photobucket to bypass the size and quantity limit by posting direct links for photos to appear in your post, but Photobucket then decided to screw over the internet. There are some alternatives out there for that, but I haven't tried any myself. I don't know if flickr has that ability, but I think imgur does.

Totally forgot about the website due to mainly posting on the GenVibe Facebook page. Haven't been updating this so I thought I'd backtrack on what has been done to the car throughout this year.

Rears lowered 3/8" month prior then Fronts lowered 1/2", I think lol I forgot.

Coilovers, check. Stickers, check. Wrapped bumper, check. Splitter/Lip, check.
All I need now are wheels. Not just any wheels. I had to buy REAL wheels. Although replica wheels are very affordable, it just wouldn't sit right in my mind that I have replica wheels on my cars. I've always wanted to do things legit and it always feels good buying quality products. So I set my eyes on the Work Cr Kiwami Ultimates. To purchase a full set, new and without tires would cost $2,500. I had already planned my budget so it would work but I found a deal on Craigslist for a staggered setup that belonged on a Toyota Prius haha. Anyways got a deal on those and next was supporting mods to get the wheels to fit right like Rays wheel-locks, hub centric rings, and of course new tires.

2 weeks later and they're installed! Wheels are wrapped in Toyo Extensa HP II 235/18/40. Mild stretch on the rears too.

If you noticed in the last few pictures, I barely get the roof in the pictures because the clear coat on the roof was peeling. Me and my pops sanded the roof where peeling occured and recleared with 2K Clear Coat. Amazing stuff. There was hella overspray so it took a while getting rid of that stuff. Lots of buffing, sanding, and clay barring. I don't have any pictures during the re-clearing and many up close images but just take my word that it looks waaaaay better than before lol.

PS. The paint they were using more than a decade ago was thin as f*ck. That's probably why some Honda's had paint recalls :roll:

Finally up-to-date as of July 22, 2018.

With dreams of slamming my Vibe, I lowered the Vibe even more lol. This time all four corners were lowered 1/2". So if we do the math, from stock to coils, 2-2.5" drop; plus the Fronts lowered 1/2"+1/2" and Rears 3/8"+1/2"; that's about a 3-3.5" drop. The front struts still have more threads to go if I want to go lower; however, the rears have very little threads available compared to the front.Other than that, I'm digging the height where it's sitting at. I'd love to go lower but that would be eased if someone granted me the rare GM Ground Effects kit.

Driving experience is about the same prior to lowering the car. I have minor rubbing issues. Luckily I'm only rubbing and making holes in both of my front fender liners. I'm going to be experimenting with the dampening. I want a softer ride but I also don't want to bottom out LOL. I do want to add spacers in the future but first I have to get an alignment since I'm making a trip next weekend and won't be able to work on my car since I lost my f*cking wheel lock smh.

Notice anything different? I plastidipped my wheels white. Not happy with the texture but the look overall satisfies me. I also got tired of the lip/splitter hitting curb stops in parking lots so I took it off. It got in the way of the jack as well- or maybe I'm just lazy tbh...
