2006 Platinum Vibe RIP....

Post by silvrhawk7 »

 Well its been a long time since i was back here, however on the morning of January 8th 2015 on my way to work, I was rear-ended from a dead stop, the other vehicle was doing a considerable amount of speed when i was hit. At this time i can't really go into details as the case is still open or show photos. The last remaining miles were just under 130,000 (all my miles).

Since the Vibe, Pontiac, (and even the Toyota Matrix) don't exist in this lifetime anymore. I had to go a different route, I ended up purchasing a new (leftover) 2014 Dodge Dart, its been a good car so far and has a lot of great standard features that didn't exist in the vibe when it was new, but nothing will truly replace the Vibe. Im not totally leaving the site but i haven't really been here that much either. To everyone who helped with my car with mods, thank you. And all the new owners who get their hands on one of these cars, you won't regret it. :)

Good Luck and God Bless

- Neil

That's truly sad, but I do hope you are doing okay and that you'll be compensated for the losses.

Wow, sorry to hear about the loss of your Vibe! My 2010 GT was rear ended a year ago and totaled, and I ended up replacing it with an 03 GT. I just couldn't find any other used vehicle that I wanted in my price range.

Good luck with your new car, and on the claim settlement. Maybe you can pick up another Vibe in the future. A lot of people have come back with a second or even third Vibe recently!

Bummer Neil :x From your signature, this happened over six months ago? You must be really busy to not have informed us of this sooner. I take it this could have been a weather related incident if you're located in the colder parts of the region? Hopefully the newer Dodge Dart will be just as reliable as the Vibe. Keep visiting us from time to time and good luck with the new ride ;)

Well, there was a lot going on at the time, we just purchased our first house Christmas week (needed TLC) and moved in the same week. After the shock and awe wore off from the accident, I wasn't sure if posting at the time was a safe thing being the case is still open and pending, thats why theres no pictures or details at this time. I live in Florida so it wasn't that cold at the time and it was a clear day.
