I want tint for my windows and perhaps a cat back exhaust just to give it a bit more growl. The one issue i do have with this car is the power. I feel for such a large I4 it should have more power. Im also looking for a way to lengthen my spoiler to give it a bit more aggressive look.
Here's a thread on how to remove the factory roof rack.
We have 35% tint all around on both our Vibes and couldn't be happier with it. It's dark enough to look good and serve its purpose, but not so dark that you can't see or that it draws unwanted attention from cops.
Magnaflow makes a direct-fit catback exhaust system for the 2009-2010 Vibe AWD. I highly recommend ordering it from Hott Exhaust. Be sure to use the link on their homepage (Get Coupons!) to receive a discount code. Let them know what part/s you want and they’ll send you a discount code to use at checkout. I ended up paying right around $440.00 shipped last July. I have the Magnaflow system on my GT and love it. It sounds great. Only slightly louder than stock unless you really step on the gas. It fits and looks great too. To squeeze a little more power out of your Vibe, you may also want to consider a
K&N Typhoon short ram air intake. Many 2009-2010 2.4L owners on here have it, including myself, and have been very pleased with it. Mine has been on since July of 2009 with no issues. I have also seen a consistent 1-2 MPG increase in my fuel economy (averaging right around 28 MPG with 50 % city / 50% highway). It gives the engine a little throatier sound when accelerating. You have to remember that the power of your AWD will be slightly less than say a 2.4L Base or GT because you're carrying around the extra weight of all the AWD equipment. I find my GT has plenty of get up and go when I need it.
Since your Vibe is Liquid Platinum Metallic (the best color
!), you can actually get
a pre- painted OEM 2009-2010 Vibe GT spoiler (
#19171939). It’s a direct replacement for the tiny spoiler you have now and is
very easy to install. You could also check out
car-part.com. You may get lucky and find a 2009-2010 Liquid Platinum Metallic GT in a junkyard near that you could get the spoiler from for cheaper.
I think that pretty much covers all the things you mentioned. Let me know if you have any other questions
.
