2005 Pontiac Vibe GT - Black

Post by BoricuaTEK02 »

2005 Pontiac Vibe GT - Black

Debadged - All except front Pontiac logo.
Blacked out Grill.
Viper Tint - 35% sides, 20% rear quarter windows, 20% rear windshield.
Wheels - Scion TC's wrapped in P225/50R17V Michelin Energy tires (Comfy ride!)
Sound System - Pioneer with Factory Monsoon Sound system

TC wheels were purchased with P215/45r17 tires (all for $200 on Craigslist) and after much research I decided to go with thicker tires. We all know the space in the wheel well is spacious so I took advantage with P225/50R17. No rubbing on anything what so ever. The ride was bumpy before with the thinner 45 tire. I even seen that TireRack.com and DisountTireDirect.com recommended P215/50R17 size tires for 17"x7" rims. Yes, the "225" in my opinion make a big difference especially with all the horrible roads around my town after this past hit with winter. Enjoy

What the Vibe looked like at first.

All I need to complete it:
-KYB AGX Shocks or OEM Replacement
-Tein or Eibach Springs
-"Powered by VVTL-i" Vinyl graphic x 2
-HID Retro Projector Kit
-Partially tinted headlamp housing (Projector Light Output part would still be clear for maximum light on roads)
-Matrix XRS Cold Air Intake (Truly helps with Gas Economy and a little power and throaty sound.)
-Cat-Back Magnaflow Exhaust System
-GM Lip Kit
-Orange/Amber Tint For fog lamps
-Side Mirror LED Signals
-Roof Caps (for roof rack bar removal)
-Smaller Attenna

Very nice ! The 225s look really good on it without looking as if it has too much tire. The TC wheels always look great on our Vibes :D When im in need of new tires hopefully I can pickup a set as cheap as you did.

When I picked up the tires, I went to a used tire place in my area that's been in business for years and decided to give them a try. Boy, I was really happy with the quality of their work and the quality of the used tires they had. 9/32nd on all 4 tires, balanced and mounted all for $233 and change. They are Michelin Energy (V rated) tires and new they go for around $115 each. Keep your flags up but check out Craigslist for those tc rims. You may be lucky.
