Nice Impreza! I love Subaru and their All-Wheel-Drive system, so much fun in the winter... What size engine is that? They still using the 2.5?

The 2012 saw a redesign and a new engine. A 2.0i H-4.

rated 148 hp 2.0 liter
27 mpg city and 36 mpg hwy.

They say its quicker than the previous model even though it went from a 2.5 to a 2.0 and 170hp to 148hp. It also shaved some weight, though I forget how much.
It also has much more interior room than the previous model.

I have had it just over 2 weeks now and love it. It handles like nothing else. Including the AWD Vibe I recently lost.

That sounds pretty great! Must get awesome gas mileage too... I know our '03 Legacy L Wagon with the 2.5 wasn't the most economic thing on the road. :P

Subarus are great cars though, I'd strongly consider one as my next ride after I finish school. Durable, and they hold their value very well too. What's not to love?

Ewww... CVT gearbox. Other than it, it looks great! They managed to push amazing mileage from an AWD. You'll need to get out there and have some serious fun in the snow next winter.

Actually the CVT here is pretty nice and Smooth. Some CVTs like those in the Chrysler products are garbage. Working for a car rental place I get the opportunity to explore just about all the major makes. Some know how to make a good CVT and others do not. and then others cant seem to make a good traditional AT.

The CVT in the Subaru I have found to be easy to get used to and it seems it is getting used to me as well. The Nissans also have a nice CVT.

SNOW? HERE??? WHATS That???

I might need to take a long road trip to go find some though....

Nice car! But I'm with KITT... I'd never own a CVT given the choice over a stick.

But I'm sure you'll be able to power through those vicious Texas snowstorms!!!

Have you had the opportunity to stuff it full of boxes and assorted things yet?

Not Yet.....
But When I do I will post up pics! Somewhere around here I had a picture of my vibe with aprox 18 small sized U-haul boxes plus a few odds and ends. Not sure I'd get a way with that in this one but there is still tons of room with the back seats that go flat.
