Looks great! I did the same to mine last weekend, then it decided to rain. Now it doesn't look like that.

yep you guys are good... i didn't paint the rails though. It's vinal that i got. I simply wrapped the rails in it. This way here I don't need to worry about chipping the paint when i use the cross bars

Nice job with the vinyl...can't tell in the photos. Nice color match, too I still think they should be black, though....sorry.

I think the rails looks good that color. I like the way things seems to alternate between black and salsa. I'm pretty sure I'll get booed on this but I think the shark fin would look great in black now that the rails are salsa.

Being my wife's Kia Soul has a 5x114 bolt pattern her old snows wouldn't fit. My old rims are now her new snow tires because they have a duel pattern. These rims:Being I gave my father my steelies for him to use for his snow tires. That left me looking for a new set of rims to use for my own snow tiresWell thanks to Mr Hawkins I now have a new set of rims that will need some TLC but once I'm done with them they will work nicely for new snow tires. As long as they hold air and can be balanced I'm set. This is the worst of the rash.

winter rim update:sanded and three coats of primer with sanding inbetween each coatsanded again and painted the inside gloss black, two coats. Sanded between each coat.Sanded the primer again and got a coat of finishI sanded again and put on a second coat too.One more sanding and one final coat of finish paint. Now I just need to save money for winter tires to put on these.Edit: yes it's the same color as my summer rims. I like the color that much

That is why I purchased some splash guards for the 09. Then come to find out I have to drill to install. We shall see what I do... By the way Keith, you did a good job sanding/primer/finishing the wheels. Good colour.

Those are great winter tires. I have the same ones, 205/70/R15, on my 2001 Subaru Forester. Mine are studded, how 'bout yours? Maybe it's not needed in your area.P.S. Love the re-painted stock alloys.

I've owned one set of studded tires and never again... too loud for my taste.Once the snow flys I'll take the car to a parking lot and give it a good go with the new tires to test the limits.

I'm sure they'll do fine. Maybe not quite as much traction on ice as with studs, but for snow/slush they'll be great.
