Im saving up to get the blue mirrored and fade to black tint. my dad had the red style on his 89 silverado. it was sexyedit: i found some OEM lexus 16"s that would look rather dashing on my vibe. 75 for the set of 4. gives me all winter to have them blasted and powdercoated charcoal

yea its only two 10mm bolts in the front and two plastic clips in the rear that you can take off with a pair of needle nosed pliers.

Finally debadged

Post by GoodVibErations2004 »

Well a big ole bump for new pix. And I finally got around to Debadging the Vibe. Unfortunately these pix are all from beforehand. lol. Not only that but by the end of the week I will have four brand spanking new winter tires! friggin goodyear supposedly doesnt make the assurance with triple tread in the 205/55 R16. sux for ME! anyways. Enjoy!

so llast night i was inredibly bored and decided to get my new winter tires a little early. Went with the Hankook I-Pike. They've got a sweet relatively agressive tread but not soo much road noise as i've seen in the past with such tread. cant wait for that white stuff. I just gotta repaint the steelies and coat them with the rust-seal.(they're lookin real crappy!) then Im ready!

egh i know. every time i look at them i cringe. thought i might be able to get a new set of steelies when i got my winter rubbers. unfortunately, pepboys didnt carry them and i couldnt afford the extra 76bux per tire for new rims(even though they were HOTTTTT and CHEAP). so come spring ima get me a set! ill post pix of those rims at a later date. and of my steelies after i paint them

I think if you got an overlay for your engine cover it would look sick. Like a VVT-i 16 Valve overlay.

Oh i will MOST DEFINITELY get an overlay. I debadged the vibe so I could replace the stock badges with vinyl ones. not to mention the genvibe.com ones.

got a new mod the other day. It was snow/rain-ing and windy somethin fierce! Now i see what yall were talking bout the vibe catchin the wind. I used to drive a blazer(3 actually 3 different years) and they were all the late 80s early 90's boxy flat sided style. I was amazed to see that the vibe caught the wind worse than my old blazers. Anyways on the cross wind my wiperblades did nothing. they caught the wind and missed the precipitation. especially with this heavy wet stuff. so i went to advance auto parts and picked up the one kind of wiper i havent used yet. they are relatively new i guess..... no pressure points like the rainx blades ive come to love in the summer. but half the height of those ugly rubber coated winter things. TRICO NEOFORM. they come pre curved and under the pressure of the wiper arm conform perfectly to the windshield. Not only that but they've got a unique centered airdam thing so no matter what direction the lowest pressure or fastest air is hitting them they STICK to the glass. THey are an all season blade and they are amazing. they work wonders on snow, sleet, rain, and ice wont eff them up. if only i could use one on the rear. lol i will post pix asap. for those of you that want to pick up a set, they cost me like 42 suthin total for the set. 21" 16-210 for the drivers side 18" 16-180 for passenger.

I've got some chrome lugs that fit the stock wheels and those chrome trim rings if you want 'em, we could work a deal... don't need 'em anymore now that I have the new wheels. They would look great on those painted steelies! The ride is lookin' good so far!

I saw them at Canadian tire and was wondering how the looked. Sorry if I'm hijacking this thread Steven

Well yesterday after work I got an oil change and put my summer tires back on. Once the days get a lil brighter and warmer I'll be able to finish the swap to summer mode. CAN'T WAIT!.... oh and on the drive home from putting on my summer tires guess what. IT SNOWED!!!!!! not enough to care but enough to be slightly depressing
