That's what I kinda wanted. I love the look of the Scoobies with the blue and bronze but I am thinking of a darker shade of bronze than what the scoobies have. Probably like this...

I don't want to sound like a jerk, but that matte bronze reminds me of something that isn't a metal... or nice. I do not like that color. Pretty sure I changed one of my daughter's diapers and saw that color one time...

Hmmm.... a little on the fence with the colour but I believe that you can pull it off.... Are you going to go with black calipers? Still going with the Falkens?

dont worry. no one sounds like a jerk. i keep looking at it and it reminds of when I change my kids diapers too. I am not going with that color after all. Probably the MATTE Black. well.. for now, until i decide to go big brake kit, after i finally turbo charge the engine after like another year or so, then I might look into big brakes but its definitely not worth spending the money on if my car only runs an 18 second 1/4 mile. lol

Turbo, forged internals and LSD for the engine and transmission! But, of course, that costs a lot of money...

What would be on your list of possible replacement vehicles? New? Used? Project?

Next on the list are a set of wheels. confused as to which ones to get but will figure it out. Was looking at the BBS LM Reps but don't know yet.

yeah. i have to admit that I like this look much better. I am going to be getting a quote on re-painting my entire car. I have some dings and lots of rock chips I no longer want visible. lol

Here is a pic of the rear seats. I am also trying to sell the bucket seats but im keeping the bracket and harness bar. 4 point harness is going as well. figured I would just keep the brackets and bar since they were practically free from sponsor. lol.

Any tips on what you had to do to pull the rears seats, and what was involved in pulling/replacing the covers? Did you recover your front seats as well? Or did you replace them?

to pull the rear seats, their are 4 bolts you need to remove in the front bottom area. Then, on the back, you have to remove the smaller storage bin to access the bolts in the rear. There is one more bolt to remove which holds the swivel device for the seats on each side. You have to fold the seat down a bit and you can see the bolt, from the front side, attached to the frame of the car. Your best bet is to use a ratcheting wrench tool for this one bolt. the rest you can use ratchet and sockets. I believe the bottom front ones are 14mm and the ones in the back also. the ones on the side, iirc, were 10mm. Don't quote me on that as it was a while ago. :) the front seats, I just replaced with bucket seats but those are all 14mm bolts.

Update: I also just purchased a set of these corvette salad shooters. they are a 5x120 so will have to purchase adapters. should be stancing the car within the next couple of months. Have to work on getting the vette wheels all cleaned up, fixed, and polished. hope the wheels look great on this car.

good lord, those are wide. So what are you gonna do for center caps?

You come up with a way to do Pontiac arrowheads? or leave the Vette emblems? Maybe just blank?

well for tires, going to go with 215's to give it a nice stretch.

the only problem i found, is that one of the wheels is not the correct wheel. notice that 3 are left and 1 is right. so now going to hunt for another wheel

as for center caps, i plan on getting the blank plates that you can find on ebay and throwing a dart on there. I think that would definitely look sick. :)

actually, yes it does. less on cost too. i can pick up a set for between $400 to $500 and in a much better condition than the current ones. I paid $250 for my set and the repair quotes have been anywhere from $400 to $600. plus, i still haven't got the adapters cuz im too busy working on the damn 240. i just can't stop with that car. lol.

Post by Mariachi »

sure! i have some that we just took yesterday that i will post up later but listed some stuff i have done below. i got the car in a pretty bad condition.

The 240sx has been through a lot already. here is a list:

tune up includes the following:
Royal Purple Oil 5W-30
NGK Spark Plugs
K&N Oil Filter

replaced both Alternator and Power Steering belts
got a mirror for the passenger side
Moonroof courtesy of my friend
have 2 climate controls to mess with
finally have a radio. Alpine CDA-9886
ordered the aux cable and installation brackets
bolted up the review mirror
cleaned out the engine bay
installed the Circuit Sport Aluminum Overflow Tank
Injen SRI installed
3" catback exhaust with

Going to order:
Projector Style Crystal Headlights
4800k or 6000k HID's, still haven't decided
replacing the hood
lowering springs.

oh yeah. and looking into the 5x114.3 lug conversion.

that's it so far. still undecided on wheels though. Either varrstoen wheels or diamond racing steelies. still having an internal debate on that.
(Update: may get sponsored by Rotiform but we will see)

the day my friend took this pic, me and another 240 decided to go hood-less. just fyi.

Image
Image

another thing i also noticed is that I have tokico aftermarket struts. not adjustable unfortunately but they are aftermarket. don't know why aftermarket struts were installed but for some reason, my friend and I think this car used to have an sr and was seriously modded previously. over all, the car runs great now.
