i painted a little bit of my interior as well. but i went with red. i was worried if i painted too much that it would look tacky. yours looks real good. i just might have to paint some more.

Was pretty easy actually. I removed the panels (some were a royal pain int the a**) disconnected all the wires and removed the electronics and vents (the vents are attached with screws from the back side of the parts and the rest of the stuff uses clips to hold them in place). Started with a light sanding to rough up the plastic surface (careful not to sand too much...you just want to scuff the paint to make sure it'll adhear well). Primed with Rustoleum plastic primer (i think, i'll have to double check on that). Sprayed with Rustoleum metallic blue (kinda close to the car color, but not quite). After that, i took silver paint (i build models so i have some on hand, but you can pick it up at any hobby store...i used Testors Chrome silver) and painted around the openings for the push-buttons and around the vent areas by hand. I also highlighted the text "MAX A/C" in silver. After that was dry...shot it with about 6 coats of clear gloss to seal everything in. After that...it's just re-install and enjoy! Here's a word of warning...be careful when removing the plastic trim pieces. The retaining tabs can be fragile and can snap easily. I broke one on the driver's side window switch plate, but there were plenty more clips to secure it in place nice and tight. Just take your time and work slowly.By the way...I also painted my "oh-sh**" handles too...I haven't taken photos of them yet...but it's a little "oh hey, check that out" thing. Probably not for everyone, but i think it's different. I'll try and take a pic sometime soon here.
