on my 03, each door has a door check that limits the maximum the door will open, and these also have notches to hold the door at the half and full open positions. Not hard hold, but to hopefully offer enough resistance to keep the door from swinging shut on slight inclines. Also some resistance so the door does fling wide when opened.

On mine these door checks are worn, and offer no resistance or hold anymore. I could replace them, but haven't bothered

Perhaps your 2010 has similar door checks that are worn

One time I was out in the yard talking to a neighbor who had a collection of live pet birds, and she started going on and on about how she had to drive an hour to get bird food in bulk because the local stores were too pricey. About that time, one of my cats wandered over and started rubbing against my foot, and the neighbor kept droning on and on about the cost of bird food. I finally said something like" I don't think bird seed is that expensive, I just buy a big bag and spread it around in the backyard. Its cheaper than cat food" I thought this was pretty funny. That lady never talked to me again. Ever.

Another time I was in a convenience store getting coffee, and a lady working there was checking the various coffee urns, and she said hi, how ya doing, I said fine, how about you, and she said "I'm really good" and before I could stop myself, I heard myself say "That's what I hear" Luckily for me it was only a split second of being really embarrassed before she burst into laughter, and said I made her day.

So, humor can be a tricky thing.

Anyway, I figure it has to be worn door checks. There was a thread recently where vferdman overhauled the door checks in his 06 Matrix, a bunch of pics if you want to see what the part looks like.

I'd bet money the same part number door checks in your '10 vibe are used in other vehicles as well, but I can't say for sure which though. Depending on where you buy them, they can be pricey, so if you think it might be the door checks, maybe get just the front driver door one and see if that helps before you spring for new checks for the other doors

The door check should be the same for all vibes/matrices.

I just put a 2009 Matrix driver's side door check on my 2004 Vibe and it works just fine.

Does anyone consider using door checker with stronger indent feel from lexus CT..could be also HS?

Or you can rebuilt a door checker see video below just flip the rubber spacer around and use lithium grease ( not his petroleum bearing grease-since rubber swell and break down with petroleum type grease)
