Interior Carpet Removal and Install

Post by Derf »

Recently removed the interior to clean, sound deaden, fix issues, and run more wiring. Saw a few posts about work that required removing the interior, wanted to supply details on removing the interior. As the Vibes age and trade owners, some surprises could be lurking under the carpet.

Video showing basic steps to remove and install the carpeting 2003-2008:

Horror under the carpet,... it only took three weeks to fix all the rust :o

Got some ideas from this previous post where member detailed removing the carpeting and rear seats

What horrors did you find under your carpet? Any tips or special projects while your interior was out?

Once I got all the main items fixed, have not had any major issues to make a post on. Do have a persistent wheel sensor light. All the tires and bearings check out, researching next steps, if I find a cause/fix might be another video.
