PRND2L

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Well, what does this say?

It broke while trying to access the bulb below. Anyone know where I could find a replacement? I've struck out searching online, so I'm guessing a junkyard may be my best bet.

Look on http://www.car-part.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; to find a local place with a Vibe. They won't list minor interior items like that online, but you can look for a few common items like doors, fenders, engine, auto transmission, etc. to find a potential car. Call them and see if they have the entire car that you could get some interior trim items from and if they do, you should be able to get that piece for $20 or so I would think.

Good luck!

Zane (zvibe04) might have one for you. He said he'll check Friday.

Thanks! Let me know. If that doesn't work out, I'll check with the local junkyards. Sadly, my usual u-pull-it doesn't have a Vibe or Matrix listed in their online inventory, but there are plenty of others around.

Put a manual tranny in your Vibe then you won't need it anymore

Sounds like a using a sledge hammer to drive a finishing nail... a pound of cure, for an ounce of disease...

Although, I was considering putting a manual boot on the auto shifter, even before this happened.

Corolla might use the same plate, but be harder to get at.

Zane did it. I plan on doing it.

Do it. If it looks like your car has a stickshift it will fool every car thief out there. If the thief knows how to drive stick they'll be confused about where the clutch pedal went.

It'll go on my wishlist. I'd love to have the 6 spd. I test drove an '06 Vibe GT, but it was sold before I could pull the trigger. The price was right, but it had a few more issues than I would have wanted, too.

Of the 8 cars I've owned through the years, this is only the second automatic. The other one was an '88 Dodge Dakota that I drove my senior year of high school and first two years of college. I definitely had some reservations buying this one at first, but I'm happy now.

Sorry, Zane forgot to check. He's in college and goes back home for the weekends, so it'll be another few days. We'll make sure we get back to you. In the meantime, feel free to check out junkyards and such.

Understood. No worries. I'm actually going to have to check with junkyards anyway for something else, now.

Ok, let me see what I can find locally. Is that the black paint flaking off behind the N?

That's still in much better shape than the one I have right now.... :D
