2009-10 Cabin Air Filters

Post by Rayven01 »

I checked my cabin air filter the other day and it was pretty disgusting. I'm pretty sure it was the OEM, never been changed in 5 years/98k miles:

I ordered two replacements from Amazon. The first, a Wix 24483 ($11):

The second, a TYC 800025P ($10). Note this is different than what Amazon says should fit (800038P)! It seemed very flimsy to me. I decided to use the Wix.

Nice price on those filters BUT not sure how much better/worse they are compared to OEM ones :? I spent a few more $$$ for the Toyota OEM filters. Haven't put them in yet. Spring time I will along with a complete cleaning & detailing :D

I continue to trim mine from high quality furnace filters and replace it every 6 months.

Can you let me know what is the correct direction of the air flow?

From bottom to top, or from top to bottom?

Thank you!
