GenVibe - Community for Pontiac Vibe Enthusiasts

I have searched and not found an answer. The switch on my Vibe that switches air flow from face to foot to defrost does not seem to be directing the air properly. Air comes out of the 'face' vents in all positions; some air comes out of the foot when switched to foot (but not all the air); and it seems almost no air comes out of the defroster with the switch in any position. The cable is moving as it should and I hear what sounds like a door changing position. Is there some common problem here that I need to know about? Do the doors break inside the heater unit? Any ideas? I need to fix before winter. Thanks in advance! Great site by the way!

I don't remember anyone here having that problem before. You might be able to take the radio out and see if you can find where the other end of the cable connects. If that moves when you move the controls, then you might need to pull the top of the dash off start digging in to see what's going on inside
