Stuck vent slector

Post by kaflex »

I went to turn the vent to defrost but it was hard, I got it to move but it went alittle too far. Now I can't move it back. Would I have to take it apart or just get a replacement?

update:

I had time to look into it more today and think I may have found the problem. I found a cable that's not connected anywhere, I see a spot about under the pass. airbag but the cable seems to just not reach. Any ideas?

That cable is used for disabling recirculate when you move the knob to the defrost settings.

Reconnect the cable to the bottom of the A/C and recirculate switch assembly, it will snap right in.
