2zz-ge header removal

Post by treesleavedents »

After 4 years of balefully staring at the PPE boxes in my garage, I finally had enough money for the 2.5 inch mandrel bent stainless axle back that would complete the all stainless PPE long tube header with spiked collector and mid-pipe with high flow cat and resonator. So I installed them in preparation for having the axle back welded up tomorrow and promptly forgot to take pics and video. So after I finished but before I lowered the car back down I made a video for you guys.

Well, it's all together and I got the axle back welded up with a 14" Borla XS muffler. Sadly I can report that it is waaaaaaaaay too loud at highway speeds above 60 mph, Droney as hell too... SO I'm gonna have to find a better muffler solution. Most likely something bigger and maybe with a baffle or two, although I'd like to avoid that if I can.
