Hood latch replacement - Corolla fitment confirmed

Figured I'd let everyone know as I only saw a thread regarding using the matrix hood latch and its fitment issues.

2003 Corolla hood latch confirmed exact match on my 03 vibe. Looked similar from pictures so decided to give it a shot, glad I did. Searching for a Vibe hood latch gives results of $140 or more for a replacement vs the $17 and change for the corolla's.

Thanks for posting this. My latch assy has been sticky so I just placed an order for an OEM one on Amazon.com. Looking for a hood release cable has proven to be difficult. Wondering if the 03-03 Matrix and Corolla Dorman 912-065 cable is a direct replacement for our 03-08 Vibes?

Thanks for posting this. My latch assy has been sticky so I just placed an order for an OEM one on Amazon.com. Looking for a hatch release cable has proven to be difficult. Wondering if the 03-03 Matrix and Corolla Dorman 912-065 cable is a direct replacement for our 03-08 Vibes?

Did you want a hood release cable? or a hatch one? because the link was for the hood.
