AWD/4WD Viscous Coupler Repair

Post by MrWhoopee »

I've been talking to Dave at STE Couplers about rebuilding the viscous coupler from the Matrix/Vibe. He was unaware that a VC had been used in this AWD drive system. He said if I could send him a dead unit, he would assess the possibility of rebuilding the units. It appears that new units can be had for about $1200, STE's rebuilt units for other vehicles are about 1/3 of that.

So, I am soliciting a VC that was removed and replaced because it was defective. I'd take mine out, but I need to be able to drive the car. Anyone have one laying around?
