Post by fpsfreak209 »

ok ac system stop blowing cold air about two months ago.bro said it probably needs a ac recharge.so we bought a small can from walmart(134a) and we tried to charge the system.it looks like the system doesnt want to take in the can.we followed instructions from the can plus watched a video on youtube on how to charge it.temp around my area has been average of 100.i dont think i can keep up without ac lol.

Does the compressor engage when you turn the AC on? If not you may need to bypass the low pressure switch. Does the system have any pressure in it? Do you have any gauges to check? If you have a leak, your system could be filled with regular air, so it will not take any refrigerant until you vacuum out all the air and moisture, fix any leak, and then you can recharge it. You can rent the gauges from Autozone and some other auto parts places if you don't have any.
