weight of vibe

Post by chrisnotap »

I can't seem to find this info anywhere. What is the dry weight or wet weight of a 2004 vibe? I want to make some towing calculations and I know what the total weight (GVWR) can be but I need a starting point to figure it out with luggage and people. Will I have to go to a scrap yard to have the car weighed?

It's easier just to check the sticker on the driver's door jamb. My 2007 says, "The weight of the passengers and cargo should not exceed 850lbs." This includes the tongue weight of any trailer you are towing. The recommended towing capacity is 1500lb. Hope that helps!

Base 04? Auto or manual? I know the GTs are a bit heavier, @ 2820lbs, than a manual base. I think the manual base model was a hair over 2700lbs. And the awd was heavier than both @ 2940lbs plus. Not sure on the auto base model but fair to say you can tack on a few more lbs for that auto.
