Sway Bar Links replacement

Post by Vibelo »

I have to replace both from sway bar links in the front of my 2004 Vibe FWD Vibe 138,000 miles. Has anyone done this? Any tips/instructions?

It's pretty straightforward once you have the wheels up.
Only 2 tips I can offer are:
-- Release the tension on the link with a floorjack under the knuckle
-- Make sure you have a proper fitting socket beforehand to hold the link stud in place when you remove the bolts.
Don't know the size or whether it's a torx/hex socket. Without this the stud will just spin in place.

You need an allen wrench or something else with a hex head.
