Hello
I'm looking to replace one of my rear hub assemblies on my 2009 Pontiac Vibe and I'm finding a lot of choices at a wide price range.
What I'd like to know is how to choose a quality part. I've read a couple of posts here and there that swear by OEM parts and they're worth the extra money (in this case, we're talking ~$300 versus ~$100 for an aftermarket part). And there's probably a source for this part with a price anywhere in between these two extremes.
So, I'm looking for some experienced input. Is it a bad idea to go with the cheaper part (e.g., aftermarket NSK)? Is it not worth the extra money for the OEM part? And if OEM part really is the right answer, where's the best place to buy them? A dealer? Someplace online?
Thanks a bunch in advance for helping me with my newbie questions.
