Hot enough for you?

Post by joatmon »

Hit 106F at my house yesterday. Fine for Arizona, but oppressive with the humidity around here on the right coast. AC seems to be running all the time. Gonna be an expensive electric bill. Anyone else having a "warm" summer?

Finally, yes. It's been raining here for pretty much the whole month of June. We're supposed to hit 31C today.... I actually might need shorts today...

It is quite hot. Here is a pic of the outside temp in the Mazda3 loaner car while this pic was taken last year around this time, the mood and situation fits as the other day I was driving my Scion and it hit this temp. So this pic is still relevant :) Every year it seems Maryland seems to corner the market in the humidity department.(sicking heat go away and bother the Virginians or Pennsylvanians ;) )

FOUR days of 100+'f so far here in NW Ohio  Finally getting a break this week  With A/C being a major part of my work, I've been a bit busier than usual. Had to defer some A/C calls when I was in Erie for the 2012 GenVibe meet, until today. The customers were very understanding and patiently waited for my arrival this morning :)

It's a little better now.
Picture I took last week at work - this is the guy that delivers nitrogen to us. Just chillin' in front of a vent ... those pipes are frozen.

nice

the hottest my vibe read was 102°. but to see triple digits on the thermometer for 3-4 days in a row... man it was hot. chicago's actually been nice enough to ride the motorcycle since saturday nite. but its supposed to heat up again.

and yes, in a few months, i'll be one of them complaining about how cold it is

The heat in Chicagoland was unbearable a couple weeks ago, but it has since dropped back to more "seasonal" temperatures. Like ramenboy... said, the temperature gauge in my Vibe only went as high as 102 or 103, but the humidity was what made the heat truly unbearable. I typically go sit in the Vibe on my lunch break at work and listen to XM, but the entire week of the heat wave I stayed inside because it was just way too nasty out. I don't want to sit on my lunchbreak and sweat ten times worse then I do when I'm working :|.

We need it to rain for a month straight around here. We're in the midst of a pretty nasty drought :(.

That popcorn picture is excellent.
It's been 30°C (86°F) and up for the last 3 weeks or so. Today was 94°F. I live in the woods so it's been even hotter in nearby cities. We haven't had any rain in well over 3 weeks also so the farmers are starting to get very worried.
It's the hottest, driest spell I can remember and I'm 52.

Yesterday in Montreal was (with humidity) 40C (around 104f) thank God for AC! Not complaining though as in a few months it will be -30C (-22F)

Got a nice tan, swam in the pool for a few hours with my son. Life is grand!
