So I've decided to purchase a dash cam and was wondering if anyone here has one and if you could share your thoughts with us
I bought a (Ebay Hong Kong Special lol) K2000 to try it out. What I've seen on YouTube regarding this model is that it is quite decent, considering I paid 70$ for it. I hope to receive it next week and upload some video.
So once again anyone here have one?

I've got a go pro, non hd that I got cheap on eBay for when I go on group rides on the motorcycle. Decent picture, but what I don't like is setup. If I mount it on the bike (heck, even when I mount it on the helmet) it's hard to get the right frame, because theres no LCD screen. Other than that, it's not bad.
The swann hd unit looks almost identical to the go pro, but it has a remote and a detachable LCD screen, so you can adjust the picture/frame right away, and shoot whenever you're ready. Can be had cheaper than the go pro.
BUT I did pick up a cisco flipHD really cheap on woot.com. I know cisco dumped it, so there may not be any support, but it's alot easier to use. Smallish screen, easy controls, and there seems to be a couple nice mounts for it. And it's got a great picture.

Thanks for posting the video. Looks pretty good.
At the settings you have, do you know how much video can be recorded on the 32GB SD card?
Hmmm I am not sure, let me check for you...the manual only goes up to 16GB microSD (what I have) and in 720P it states 298 minutes. I tried filming in 1080P but found that it was grainy as heck lol!

Here is one story where a dash cam helped solve a road rage incident.
That which may be known of God is evident within man, for God has shown it to them, so that they are without excuse.(Romans 1:19-20) What do you want most in life?

Not bad for what you paid for it I got a kick out of that White Grand Prix with the "human luggage rack" as you passed them by. Don't know what the FOUR arms/hands were holding onto (one out of each window) but you did the right thing by passing them by! I briefly looked into a FOUR camera system (generic one from China) to install into my new work service van. I would then install each camera to where I have 360' coverage. I may still do it before winter. You never know what you might capture that could be beneficial in the future.

Thanks so much for the info.
So, it's roughly 5 hours @ 720P. For me that's way more than enough. I'm thinking of getting one.
