It's a Jeep Liberty, but can be made to look much hotter IMO. I'm pricing one out as we speak. White R/T with the chrome rims and black leather, 260hp 4.0L V6. Remote Start, heated seats, 4WD mmmm, similar to this:

I had a 2001 for 39 months /24,000 miles - liked its style & functionality - didn't like the mpg and was worried about long term reliability. It had already developed a low speed steering wheel "wobble" of unknown cause. Tires were checked out and o.k.

Have you driven one? I heard from an owner who traded for a Ford Escape that the Jeep Liberty rides like the truck it is. There's an electric blue Nitro I see around town quite a bit. It seems like the Nitro has the wheels moved farther forward than the Liberty, but I'm sure it's mostly a styling trick.

My opinion........run away...you could not put my (removed) in a dodge or chrysler.it is a dead company walking.Very poor product compared to other car offerings. But once again that is only my opinion,so take it for whats thats worth.lol.

Looked at one before I bought the Vibe... pricing deals were good but the dealer couldn't seem (or didn't even feel like trying) to find one with a stick. It's that old "Oh it's got a slushbox..... NEXT!!"

This '07 is the 4th of this basic design that I have owned - '96 Plymouth Voyager; '98 Voyager; 2004 T&C, and present 2007 T&C. The Voyagers were 4 cyl AT and not much else. The T&C's are 3.3L V-6's and very well equipped - cost about what the Voyagers did after discounts and rebates. My son is still driving my old '98 Voyager with 200,000 miles. Very few repairs aside from wear parts.

Looks slightly better than a liberty, but if the ride is the same no thanks. Had a liberty rental once and was really disappointed with how cheap it felt...sorry, just can't think of a better way to describe it Similar to what the caliber feels like, maybe it's a Dodge thing?
It is a truck. It's based on a truck/SUV platform. I don't want some cushy little Honda CR-V. To me those are like the little white puffy dogs that don't stop barking. I love the Liberty, it feels like a REAL SUV, it can tackle anything, and love the rough and rugged. I'm torn between that and the Dodge. Guess we will have to see.
