Leaving for Vegas

Post by darcmater »

So tomorow I leave for a week of fun in Vegas. Any suggestion on car stuff to do there(mine will not be there though) or anyhting above the usual gambling, hookers, drinking, and such to do there? I plan on seeing the dam and such, maybe even take the helicopter ride ofer the grand canyon

I kinda liked the amusement park stuff at some of the hotels....anyone from any hotel can visit......at least was some fun. I fed a grand total of $10 in quarters into a couple of slots and didn't win a quarter back! I got bored and started riding those roller coasters on top of the hotels........never have gambled again, and that was 11 yrs ago BORING!

Cirque de Soleil and some of those shows are fun but some tickets are like $100.

They have a mini grand prix track on Rainbow Blvd. We didn't try it though. Just stocked up on pet supplies I *can't* get here. STAY SAFE, have a nice trip.

I saw Cirque du Soleil's KA at the MGM Grand last November when I was there, amazing show. I've heard great things about their Beatles "Love" show as well. Saw Mama Mia a couple years ago too, that was fun. My daughter's seen Blue Man group and loved it. I'm not much of a gambler. Did the dam a few years ago, worth a day trip. Inside the Venetian the canal area is pretty cool to walk thru. I've not done the helicopter deal, but I think that would be a great way to check out the g.c. Skip the roller coaster on the top of the Stratosphere Tower, it is short, slow, boring and a ripoff. You have to pay something like $10 just to get to the top, and pay separately to ride the thing.

Saw Beatles LOVE when I was there last year and it was fantastic. The water fountains at the Bellagio are really wicked too - go at night when they're choreographed to music!

Vegas is only 2 hours from where I live! Head up this way, but you are probably driving through here on your way down to Vegas. There are tons of great places to visit in Southern Utah.

yeah I went to the car museum, was my first stop sicne i stayed at the imperial palace. I also went to the shows Blue Man Group and Zumanity while I was there. I also saw the King tut museum while I was there plus went into most the hotels on the strip and the diffferant shopping malls. I like to eat differant foods so we stopped at lots of differant places along the strip. I really liked the MESA Grill, which is Bobby Flays restuarant. Oh I also saw the art museum at the Vinetian which had some paintings on loan from the guetenheim or what ever its name is thats in Newyork and such. The first night I got there was st pattys day so there was a ton of drunk people all over, with in the first 10 minutes from us walking out of the hotel and onto the strip I got felt up by what I could only describe as a hooker. I think she wqas either trying to lift anyhting she could off me or trying to see if I was ballen with some cash in my pocket to see if she could roll down the block with me. I plan on uploading some pictures to my photobucket account when I get a chance
