I downloaded a video (an AVI file) and the image is inverted. Not only upside down but also it is like in a mirror. The writing are from right to left...Is there anything I can do to get this video the right way?
There's nothing you can do to change it. It was encoded that way, and would have to be fixed by the owner that created it and then encoded again. If you had the proper video editing software you could modify the avi, but the software is expensive and won't typically be found on an end user computer. Try asking the person who created it why he did it.
I would love to change the world, but they won't give me the source code
Is that an option on the windows movie maker? I use showbiz video and Sony Vegas.... but I know that I can use some tools in there to change it.EDIT - There is a feature on windows movie maker that can mirror and rotate it 180 (basically flip it). I don't know if it will take your AVI file, but I put one in and flipped it.... worth a try.... maybe....

It should be standard with both Proffessional and Home. I can't promise what kind of output file there will be, or the quality, but it's a free way to do what you need.

I made a quick test with Windows Movie Makers with a small .AVI file. It works fine. But I have another trouble. The file to be converted is 800Mb.Windows Movie Maker is not in the same PC. I tried to install it in the other one, it looks ok but when I try to load the AVI file, the software tells me the codec is missing, to enable the codec download.I check the option, re-loaded the file, same thing, but it tells me if I already downloaded the codec, to restart the application.I did it, and the message come over and over again....
