Unichip tuning in Montreal region...

Hello,Well I was full of hope in Camo racing but seems they didnt get the Unichip knowledge to tune the chip. Anyone knows somewhere in the region where they would be able to dynorun/tune the unichip? Of course i have base tuning but was hoping to get the most of the chip...

L'ECU Toyota analyse les nouveaux paramètres changés par le Unichip et les retravaillent pour revenir aux signaux d'origines...Autrement dit, oui au début tu risques de voir une différence mais après quelques semaines, tes gains vont pratiquement être anéantis...Malheureusement ici au Québec, il n'y a pas beaucoup (ou pas du tout) de spécialistes dans notre produit coté programmation ECU.Crois-moi, j'en sais quelques choses Si t'as besoin de plus d'infos, n'hésite pas!En passant, merci Sam pour la plug!!!

Sorry guys, just noticed you started the post in english, so here it is.I checked on the Unichip site for their vendors. I wrote them down for you in my previous post... I don't know them by experience so I can't garanty you of their quality.I don't want to discourage you but according to the most knowledgeable people on newcelica.org, any piggiback you will install on a Toyota is "almost" worthless. The OEM ECU will fight it and always end up winning the battle. You might see gains at the beginning but after a while, Toyota's ECU will change some setting to compensate the Unichip's signals and bring things back to almost normal. At the end, it will not be worth it.The best thing for you would be to go with a standalone but unfortunately for us, we don't have many (if any) shop specializing in our products. Believe me, I know...If you need more infos, don't hesitate!Ben

Salut,Mouais pour les 4-5 places sur le site de Unichip.. l'automne dernier quand j'avais appeler... Ca sonnait souvent comme etant des places qui vendent les chip et non des tuners. Tk dans le cas de camo ca ressemble a ca.La 2e partie de ton message est moyennement encourageante effectivement. T'es en train de me dire qu'au bout de quelques mois, l'ecu corrige l'info recu de la unichip et que celle-ci n'a pas de moyen de contrer ca? Ca fait presque pas de sens non?? Dans la categorie gain courte duree c'est dur de faire mieux! Ou le gain minimum de la unichip reste la.. et c'est le tuning extra de la chip qui donnera pas grand chose? C"est quand meme etonannt parce qu'on a pas lu ca beaucoup sur MO ou Genvibe..? Donc je fais un reset d'ECU tout les mois?? ehehhe.

Hi. Nop had one of those week... I'll try to reach them tomorow or this week end. Must admit you did cold a bit my ambition... If the chip loose its capacity after a time... Kinda of a waste to try to tune the chip for a better fit with the car.i'll see what they have to propose...

Ok. I checked the apexi at the time of my unichip search... But damn that was kind of a costly chip. And isnt it another piggy back?For the unichip.... your probably right.. But made couple gtech run... and i did made some gain with the chip. Didnt had the time to test it alot since i got it in november but it does make a difference.. not a world of difference and some for sure. As to say that the gain will disapear with time... that i cannot tell for now.

Hi.Didnt had time to make a lot of research... But EFI in Longueuil dont do unichip tuning. Seems very hard to find a place. Maybe Ontario would be the way out. Hey Toronto is such a fun city........
