Name: Nick HernandezAge: 16 (I turn 17 Sept. 19)Occupation: Glorified janitor at Valleyfair amusement park and I set up and run big LED ad signs at high school sports events.Ride(s): 2004 Pontiac Vibe baseCongratulations on being voted GenVibe’s Member of the Month. How does it feel? Thanks, it feels great! Just being recognized on such a great and friendly forum is nice. How did you find GenVibe and what made you join?In the year and a half before I even had my license, I started looking for a car. Cars have been my entire life, so I knew my first had to be great and last me a while. My research always wound up coming full-circle to the Vibe, and in my searching, I found Genvibe. I lurked for a while, and enjoyed the nice atmosphere. I also enjoy forums a lot for inspiration and help, so once I got my Vibe I made sure to register. What is one of the more memorable things you have seen on GenVibe?Brandon’s Vibe on 20s, Keith’s turbo AWD, and how much a Vibe can haul. What is your favorite thing about the site?Everyone is friendly, they help you out and of course the Vibes I get to see.If GM brought back the Vibe what would you like to see in the new model? The 2.0 turbo diesel that is going into the Cruze, the 1.4T, the 6-spd auto/manual, a sport AWD system, upper 30s MPGs, a GT with over 200hp, base with at least 160hp… a real Mazda3 fighter! As you know we love animals at GenVibe, do you have any pets?Sure do! Two pugs, Libby, 10 (the small one) and Lucy, 11, and three cats; Gus, 7 (fat, loving, but doesn’t act like a real cat), Max, 6 (he jumps at everything, but is very cuddly and loving) and Sophie, 14 (old, squeaks instead of meows, and if I’m posting chances are she was on my lap when I posted). You’re given $250,000 to spend only on a new car, what do you buy?If it is in addition to my Vibe, one of two things…First: Cadillac CTS-V sportwagon – tuned by Hennessey to the V1000 spec (1000hp)Or: 2010 Vibe AWD – GT body kit, sport rear diff, GM 3.6L V6 (probably supercharged) dropped in, over 50% of power goes to rear through a 6-spd manual (oh yes, I know exactly what I would do if I had the money to do it)If you didn’t have to answer to anyone for anything, what would you do?Top Gear presenter (UK or US), or start a car company and strive to be the standard that other companies must live up to. Make the vanilla commuter cars AND the cars for the enthusiast. Also, try to buy rights of the Vibe from GM (see above for what I’d make the enthusiast spec into). What’s your favorite?:Movie: Christine, Office Space, The Crazies, The Hitchhikers Guide to the GalaxyFood: Oreo cookies with milkColor: BlackTV Show: Top Gear UK, Eureka, Doctor WhoGilligans Island cast member: Never seen Gilligans Island…Game: Video: Need For Speed Shift. Board: Life/MonopolySeason: Spring (yay for no more snow!!!)Sport: Does racing count? Hobby: My Vibe and writingBook/Magazine: Darkwood (a book written by my friend), Christine, Hitchhikers Guide to the GalaxyPerson: I don’t really think I have one…Any last words? If I’m going down I’m taking a portion of the world with me!!! Oh wait, wrong last words… Well, thanks for voting for me! I don’t really have a positive friend/enemy ratio, and most people I encounter are jerks, so thank you Genvibe for being the great, level-headed place you are.
