thanks again to everyone, I'm gonna post this here since i don't forsee the VOTM page being updated.I first started looking at the Vibe in February/Marchish of 2003. At the time I had a 95 Grand Am GT. It was running fine and had no real problems, until May when I blew a radiator hose off on I-95 and was still running it until it super heated and I had to sit on an off ramp for about an hour. I was able to take the next exit and pour a whole bottle of coolant in my engine which proceeded to flow out on the way home. I kept looking and looking at cars and I really liked the XRS but I still couldn’t get over the rugged look of the Vibe. Finally in August I took my Grand Am to Bryan Pontiac in Fayetteville, NC and traded it in for my frosty ’03. I have put right around 50000 miles on it, mainly driving from Bragg to my parents house in KC an 1100 mile trip one way. The longest trip I have taken took me from Bragg to San Antonio(non-stop one day) and then 4 days later San Antonio to Kansas City. I love to drive my car and being that I’m currently deployed I miss driving it every time I have to get into one of the vehicles over here. I started out with just adding a Cosmo CAI, and then got a really good deal from a guy on Matrixvibe.net(now defunct) for his unused borla exhaust. He was a college kid that had picked one up and never had time to install it… and now he need money so I spent 60 dollars including shipping on it. When I got my reenlistment bonus in November 08 I bought lowering springs, STB, and a throttle body spacer. I bought my SLP hood off of pyroAndrew on here, and have loved the look of it ever since. No other mods have been done recently. I really love this car and website and I can’t wait to get back to the states and have the Epic Vibe Rally in TN in July. I hope to have some more modifications done when I return to include installing the Turbo I have sitting at my house.Current Mods:SLP HoodTintSpringtech Lowering SpringsMegan Racing Strut Tower BarBOMZ Short RamThrottle Body SpacerBorla Axle Back ExhaustXM SkyFi2 sattelite receiverWaiting to be installed:Hass TurboCrower Cams and SpringsTop SpoilerFuture Mods:Kosei K1 TS 18x7.5 wrapped in Kuhmo SPTLevel Ten Tranny UpgradeSSBC rear Drum to disc conversionSSBC front brake upgradeRacing SeatsWould love to have some Katskinz seat covers but I don’t know if that’s gonna happen.Joe Holstedt
