Window replacement

Post by Vibe_of_the_thing »

Had one of the sashes snap off the driver's side window, so I got a window from a junkyard and just installed it, but on initial rollup, the window tilts forward and doesn't seal in the rear upper corner. Doing several short up and downs seems to seat it well, but as soon as I roll it down significantly, the same problem comes up. Has anybody else had this problem when doing a window replacement? If so, were you able to resolve it, and how?

Did you grease the mechanism and pivot points?

Honestly no, although I did check that it was greased. It wasn't slathered but it wasn't dry, and I haven't had any problems with the windows hanging or popping or even moving slowly. I'll see about popping the door open again and laying down a bit more grease.
