Did the front Diff/Transfer Case today! Some notes a 15/16" wrench is needed. Its a bit tricky because the nuts are really shallow. And I think Superman must have put them on.the top nut (fill plug) has very little clearance with the exhuast.I would recommend you do this on a cool engine. Or you will burn yourself on the transfer case or the exhaust tube.
changed the windshield wipers for the first time today...still have to get the rear replaced...also changed in cabin air filter for first time over the weekend and it was filthy
I went and picked up my 16" Camry winter steelies today. $140.00 for all 4 wheels that have less than 200 miles on them. Not bad at all. Now I just have to get tires on them.

I got a big fat "rejected" sticker slapped on my windshield when I went in for a state inspection. I kind of expected to get one for the tint, but instead they gigged me on my rear brake pads. Now I've got five days to find the time to replace them (or take a hit and throw down the $180 the shop wanted to do it for me).

I spent the last hour cleaning out Costco chicken soup from the back of my car and spare tire wheel well . I'm glad Toyota put two rubber stoppers at the bottom of the spare tire well to allow me to run the hose through the whole cargo area. I stupidly did not lay the large bag of Scotts Weed and Feed down on the cargo floor. It tipped and crashed atop one of the two containers of soup. I could smell the stench of sacrificed Purdue chickens the whole way home. I knew what had happened. My carpet and cargo net is now all scrubbed and clean, but will probably freeze overnight as it drip dries. As Homer would say: "Stupid Lisa"
Put in my new amp and ran new 4 gauge wire, but now I can't get the stinking thing to turn on with the remote wire So today I'll be running a thicker remote wire and hopefully have some good nes!!

I got to drive it to the local gas station/convenience store for 5 gals of lawn mower gas.And I think the clutch is going to be a sooner, rather than later job the way my wife is obviously driving it. Definitely a weak link in the drivetrain.

Did my weekly tire presure & fluid check. Also vacumed out the interior & wiped off all the interior panels with Megs natural shine. The Vibe gets that treatment every week or other week if im really busy. I cant stand a dirty interior. I would clean out the interior before I clean the outside LOL.

Had an amplified 8" Bazooka Sub Tube installed on the 09, just tucked beind the rear seats. Sounds awesome! Great upgrade to the OEM sound if anyone is considering - sound reverberation within the hatch area is perfect.
Spring cleaning! It was kind of warm today (mid-40's, anyway). I washed the Vibe (although "washed" is being kind, mostly I just sprayed off all the crud), put on new Icon wipers, filled the wiper fluid up, changed the air filter and I am currently sitting around waiting for that last bit of oil to drain out before I cap it off and pour in the new stuff.

Wasn't today, but last weekend I bought a Meguiar’s Headlight Restortoration kit and used it to buff/polish the headlight covers on the '04 Vibe. Made a huge difference, my pitted and cloudy headlight lenses look like brand new.http://www.meguiarsdirect.com/detail/MEG+G1900It made an even bigger difference on my 130k '01 minivan, thought I was going to need to shell out ~$200 for new headlights on it, they look almost new too. Great stuff.

Raining a lot lately, so I changed Neptune's wiper blades yesterday. I did Frosty's today. Thanks to a friend in Carquest, I got a good deal on the 4 pieces.
The Vibe needed a bath all week, but I've been working long hours (5:30 am to around 7 pm)... and no time to do anything but sleep. Got home today at 2 pm, the weather was good, the temperature around 45 degrees, and no wind. So, I got the hose out, car soap, bucket and wash mit. Got huge amounts of mud out from underneath. About 2 hours later, drying, wiping down interior, washed mat, door/hatch/ jambs/rubber seals and what a difference! Looks much better.Probably 10 pounds lighter, too. Not me, the Vibe.

I forgot how heavy a fully-studded Firestone Winterforce tire weighs compared to an RS-A!!! Needless to say, the Vibe flew like a bat-out-of-hell on the way home , much quieter too! Goodbye poor winter gas mileage!

My husband has done it for years on his car. I put it on mine once when I got it in November, and just re-did it now for all the spring rain. I haven't noticed any negatives, just the positive of the water beading and running away. Great for rain or melting snow!

upgraded rear backup lights to Silverstars finally managed to snag last set at local autozone tonight, $10, they are always sold out , look a lil brighter so far havnt really used em much yet as i installed them before it got dark and car is already in garage, might make a trip to wawa as im getting the munchies
Oh, I forgot! A couple days ago I installed the Bushwacker rear bumper protector (the one with the lip). I thought I was going to hate how it looked, but it has grown on me, and it makes me feel way more comfortable about lifting heavy, formerly-paint-chipping video equipment and crap into the back.

Actually, this was last weekend, but...Gave him a good, thorough washing (wheels and underneath too,) did the paint touch-up thing (Mazdas Rally White, paint code A4, is an exact or VERY close match) and installed 3M gray tape on the rear WeatherTech's. (The fronts are pressure fit, so no need there.) The factory clear tape was crap from the beginning and I was afraid they would simply blow off when at speed. And, took some pictures while I was at it. V V V

Not a darned thing!! It's already 96*F w/about 99% humidity... that's awfully high for around here under normal circumstances. That makes it about 120*/99% in my shop. It was already in the high '80's w/high humidity when I got up this morning @ 4:15AM!! We don't usually see weather like that around here until Aug or Sept.I was "hoping" to tackle the Lamin-X headlamp project and complete it this w/e, but this has been a hard year for weather so far.

I rotated my Bridgestone Potenza G019s for the first time. 4,000 miles on them since March. Sears had a great deal on a 2 1/4 ton jack and two stands for only $50. Bada bing.
