Need help with GM Supercharger

Post by NYfan08 »

I need help! I have looked for an installation guide everywhere and cannot find one. I'm pretty sure I need a new coupler, asI have the "rocks" noise coming from the sc. Also need a vacuum diagram as it looks like I am missing a hose connection. There isn't a check engine light, and otjer than the clanking in the sc my car runs great. Any help? I have looked online for a coupler, but it has been discontinued so there isn't a parts list or even a diagram, I have no idea what one I need. So I went to the auto parts store, they can't order one without a part #, so I went to a dealer, he couldn't even find it anywhere in their system, just told me it was discontinued, I already knew that...no help.

Since this was developed by TRD for Toyota and Pontiac, which from what I read are different kits for each because of electrical, have you tried TRD for parts?

Here are some links:

The install instructions from TRD for the kit on Toyota: http://www.mr2roc.org/misc/referencelib ... nstall.pdf

TRD parts for a 2004 Matrix with TRD supercharger kit: http://www.trdusa.com/parts-results.htm ... percharger

Not a lot of info but better than nothing. I would think that hard parts would be the same or the TRD guys would be a better source of help then GM because GM had nothing to do with making this add-on part.

Couldn't really tell from their picture about the solenoid. How would GM not have anything to do with this particular supercharger? It is the GM performance SC, not the TRD one. I guess my main question is would either one of these kits work for me: http://m.ebay.com/itm/121412108842

Here are some links to read and check out:

Check posts numbers 9 and 10

Some background info about NUMMI that made the Vibe. The Vibe was not made by GM, it was a separate company called New United Motor Manufacturing Inc.

As for the ebay items, I would message the sellers on ebay and ask them.

And then there is the bad news here, so you had better hurry and cross or fingers for the future......
