Here are a couple of links to sites that tell you what cars came stock with turbo systems on them. That way if you ever decide to make a turbo syatem yourself you'll know what cars to look for in the junk yard.http://www.thedodgegarage.com/turbo_tur ... motive.htm

a guy over at j-body.org built his own under-hood bomb that you guys are talking about for $500. ran it on stock internals and blew it up in a week. rod straight through the bottom. nice...this is all possible, just need to know exactly what your doing and don't get boost happy. beef up the thing from the inside...then attached the hairdryer...

quote:don't get boost happy. beef up the thing from the inside...then attached the hairdryer...I couldn't agree more! Though a small boost could probly be sustained without problems, you need a higher boost for any decent performance increase. But I like the idea of the home-made system. Have friends that have tinkered with em before and I hear mixed results.
